FILIPPO LA VACCARA

By looking at La Vaccara’s works - water colours, acrylics on canvas and wood carvings - aspects of his poetic that catch our attention are represented by the fairy-tale and highly imaginative style, illustrative and spontaneous such as a comic strip, but the use of the light and the colours testifies also a direct influence from the tradition of Italian painting’s masters. The images are poetic fragments of the everyday world that seems to be never banal and often enchanted such as a tale floating in a timeless dimension. The characters are involved in daily and familiar situations such as a barbecue or a walk in the green.
